Paediatric and Adolescent Health

Children and teenagers are constantly changing, and knowing what is part of growing up and what may need medical attention is not always straightforward.

At Dr Pixie’s practice, we support children adolescents and their families…

…with everything from everyday illness and vaccinations to development, sleep, nutrition, skin concerns, puberty and emotional wellbeing.

Our doctors are parents too, so we understand both the anxiety that comes with an unwell child and the practical realities of family life.

We also know how frustrating it can be when a relatively minor illness or routine medical appointment results in a child unnecessarily missing a full day of school.

Our aim is to provide accessible, timely medical care, helping children get the treatment they need and, wherever possible, get back to school and normal family life without unnecessary disruption.

As children move into adolescence, their healthcare needs change.

Our doctors provide a comfortable, confidential environment where teenagers can talk about their physical and emotional health, ask questions and begin to take greater responsibility for their own wellbeing, while parents remain appropriately involved.

Whether it is an acute illness, an ongoing concern, vaccinations, health advice or something that simply doesn’t seem quite right, we are here to support the young person and their family.

Where further investigation or specialist assessment is needed, we can coordinate the next steps and help ensure care remains joined up.

Please note: In accordance with CQC requirements, consultations for children and young people are provided outside The London Clinic (TLC) at an appropriate registered location.

Growing up is easier with the right support.
